On the 26th of February, 2014, Cool Australia officially launched the Cool Australia Community Platform. The Cool Community platform is designed for all educators to come together and discuss matters of education and sustainability and is completely free for all users to access and contribute to.
As part of the launch, the first #EfSchat webinar took place to discuss how Earth Hour can be implemented into the curriculum and classrooms Australia wide.
Taking part in the chat was WWF CEO Dermot O’Gorman, Earth Hour Climate Change campaigner Reece Proudfoot, Earth Hour Campaign Co-ordinator Claire Harman, Victorian Environmental Educator of the Year and CERES superstar Kirsty Costa, Science Education Officer at the university of western Sydney Chris Vella and Cool Australia’s resident teacher and curriculum manager Thea Nicholas.
